Founder & CEO
Hao Tang was born in Guangxi province, China, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from a top-200 university (per U.S. News & World Report (Best Global Universities) 2025). After rising through various leadership positions at various locations within China, Tang moved to Hong Kong and established the Goldenway Group. There, he obtained regulatory licenses across multiple jurisdictions and built a comprehensive financial services platform. This experience of navigating complex regulatory environments across the SFC in Hong Kong and FCA in the United Kingdom underscores the compliance culture that continues at Tier One.
Since 2009, Tang has invested globally through various vehicles, maintaining a by-and-large philosophy of passive investment.
As the CIMA-registered Director of Tier One Investment Management (Cayman) Limited, Tang now focuses on growing the firm’s asset management business. Based in Hong Kong, he maintains deep connections to Asian markets while managing a portfolio that spans from Silicon Valley to Southeast Asia to Europe.
