For ultra-high risk opportunities that may require a longer incubation period or those that may otherwise possess an extraordinary level of volatility, we would seek to make direct investments in them, utilizing our own principal as well as the principals of those few investors who have such special risk appetite. The low level of capital deployment vis-à-vis the high level of potential return make these investment opportunities viable and attractive.
Our Story
Tier One Investment Management is regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) and Tier One Asset Management is an approved investment manager under the Securities and Business Act (SIBA) of the BVI.
With roots as a single-family office, our legacy continues to generate sustainable alpha with patient capital by investments based on innovation and organic growth. Today, we manage a diverse portfolio exceeding US$2 billion across public and private markets.
We focus on innovation across a broadly diversified set of investment strategies and asset classes, including alternative assets. We take substantial positions in companies where we see long-term potential, providing strategic capital while respecting existing management teams. We prefer management teams to consult with us as and when they would like to hear from seasoned investors, rather than taking up any form of active role on the board.
